In connection with the first anniversary of the ratification of the new Soviet constitution, an article entitled «The Constitution Acts, Lives, Works» discusses the significance of the constitution as the Fundamental Law governing life in a developed Socialist society. The article examines in detail the question of the legal education of the Soviet people, «because legal education, in many of its aspects, touches upon atheist education; in legal propaganda there are clearly expressed atheist features». The article cites a number of writings published in Nauka і religiya in 1978 on the problems of Socialist democracy and freedom of conscience and describes how the editorial board of the journal plans to deal with these themes in the future.
